Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,

Welcome to San Marcos High School. San Marcos High School has a long and proud tradition of serving the students of Santa Barbara for over 50 years.

Our students are challenged by a rigorous academic curriculum with a variety of honors and AP classes. As such, students who attend San Marcos have the ability to garner academic recognitions that enable our graduates to be accepted at the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country. Our graduates boast a proven track record of acceptances into schools like Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Cal Berkeley as well as the CSUs and UCs.

Our co-curricular program is second to none. Athletics, performing arts and our other activity programs have a reputation of competing at the highest levels in the State and, in some cases, the nation. We boast a wide assortment of clubs, organizations, and activities, providing an opportunity for each student to find their niche.

Our most effective resource is our professional and caring staff and faculty. There are a myriad of honors that have been bestowed upon our staff, but the most important asset we possess is the dedication and effort put forth by our faculty and staff to insure that every student is supported and challenged. We have worked extremely hard to insure that each and every student and has the best possible access to a quality educational experience at San Marcos High School.
